Life at work part 1

i recently returned to work from 3 months of time off, when i returned I made sure to maintain a positive attitude towards everything and everyone around me.  I enjoy my job and I make it better by creating a positive lifestyle there as well.  Last week one of the night maintenance colleagues asked me, after all the B.S. i was dealing with, how was I able to come to work everyday with a smile on my face, and keep it there all night (11hr shift)?  I simply told him I keep a positive attitude in mind and always stay focused on that.  He then asked me how I get that (the positive focus)?  I said, I read! He seemed a little amazed, and i asked him if he wanted one of my books, he happily said yes!  I am thrilled that I have been able to influence others around to want to feel the same as I do.  I will continue to move forward, as I hope to have interactions with people that inspire positively or not at all.

Being the person you want to be

Many people say to be your self, and so you should, but you must also understand that you become like those who you associate with.  You may look at your life and find that you are drifting off to a place where you don't really want to be or go.  Look at where some of your friends are going too, are they heading in the same direction?  I'm not saying don't be friends with people, but you may want to limit your interactions.  Find people who are like how you want to be, positive people is a good place to start, as it is said; a smile in contagious, so is personalities and behaviors.  So choose your friends wisely and be who you want to be, yourself.

Lake for the weekend

Yeah... I'm off to the lake on Friday for the weekend with my family and my brothers family.  Looking forward to a positive fun filled weekend with everybody.  It's also a great opportunity to get away and meditate in the wilderness. Meditation is great for the mind, body, and spirit, it opens it up and lets everything flow freely.  It's also very relaxing and peaceful, I would recommend 10 minutes everyday. It's nice to just let go of all the thoughts that are going on all the time, I'm looking forward to sitting beside the lake and getting some time in.  Hope everyone's weekend is filled with greatness, share the spirit of positive actions with everyone around you.
